  1. I got Windows 3.1 this morning,  and was all eager to try out  the multimedia 
  2. stuff [on my non-multimedia pc :-)], and was greatly disappointed to see that 
  3. there was no PC-Speaker  sound driver.  So,  I called up Microsoft's  BBS and 
  4. here it is.

  6. It really sounds horrible, but if you don't have $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for a sound 
  7. board, it's better than nothing. Play with the speed and volume values - they 
  8. can REALLY make a  big difference.   I found that  on my computer  (a Gateway
  9. 2000 386/25) a speed of  between 280 and  290  and a volume of 10.0 works the  
  10. best - PC-Speakersaren't that great at bass notes!
